On 30th May Portobello Community Choir started the Imagine Portobello event off in style with an Aboriginal welcome song that we encouraged everyone to join in with. We also sang a rousing gospel song ‘Come along my friend’ as part of the opening ceremony and performed as part of the grand finale in the Old Parish Church at the end of the day. Around 45 people came to the wassailing at PEDAL’s Donkeyfield Community Orchard on 24th January. Portobello Community Choir led the singing of wassails with style! We toasted the trees and enjoyed spiced apple juice and cakes round the bonfire.
